Republicans blast President Obama on employment statistics in rebuttal

The economy is at the heart of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech Tuesday. But Republicans took issue with his employment statistics.

“The percentage of Americans with jobs is at its lowest in decades. One of the five men of working age, and almost half of all people under 30, did not go to work today, “Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels says the Republican rebuttal to the State of the Union.

Daniels ‘ statement is true, according to the u.s. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

However, The Tampa Bay Times ‘ PolitiFact noted that Obama’s statement is true that the business has created more than 3 million jobs within the last 18 months. When considering only the growth of private sector jobs, 3.16 million jobs added, according to PolitiFact.

Cooking is the number one cause of home fires in the country and during the holidays, and the American Red Cross wants everyone to be aware of the steps that they have to in order to avoid the fire while cooking.

Start by not wearing clothes loose or dangling sleeves while cooking. Never leave cooking food unattended-stay in the kitchen when frying, grilling or broiling food. If one should leave the kitchen for even a short period of time, turn off the stove. Other security measures include:

-Check the food on a regular basis while cooking and stay at home while cooking. Use a timer to remind the stove or oven.

-Keeping children away from cooking areas. Enforce “free zone” and make them remain at least three feet away from the stove.
