NEW YORK (Reuters)-Chef Lorena Garcia shows home cooks how to add talent and versatility of modern comfort food cuisine Latin.
In his first cookbook, “New Latin Classics,” the Miami-based Garcia gives recipes for all occasions, both indoors and out.
42-year-old native Venezuela spoke to Reuters about the passion for cooking and his decision not to become a lawyer.
A: “this is really about my culture. That’s what it boils down to, how to represent Latin cuisine in the food we all know. I’m an American. I have been here for 20 years. We have like a melting pot of Latin influence when it comes to cuisine. I took Latin cuisine and apply them to foods which are we all comfor with, very comfor, in recipes that anyone can enjoy with their families.
